His expertise spans CFO and CCO functions, SEC and international regulatory frameworks, fund launches, operational infrastructure, and ongoing advisory support for investment managers operating in complex regulatory environments.

In addition to his role at Silver Fern Financial, Mark is a Director at RQC Group, an industry-leading financial compliance consultancy with offices in New York and London, specializing in SEC, CFTC/NFA, and FCA compliance consulting, regulatory hosting, and e-learning. This dual perspective allows Mark to deliver deeply informed, practical guidance that integrates financial operations with evolving regulatory requirements.

Previously, Mark served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Numina Capital Management, and as Chief Financial Officer at VS Capital Partners and Berman Capital Management, where he led financial strategy, compliance programs, reporting, and operational oversight across multiple fund structures. Earlier in his career, he worked at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, gaining institutional asset management experience, and at Deloitte, where he began his career in audit in South Africa before transferring to New York and joining Deloitte’s CFO Services practice.
