Brian Henehan

Brian Henehan is a Managing Director at Silver Fern Financial, where he serves as a senior operational and financial partner to hedge funds and alternative investment managers.

With more than 20 years of experience across fund operations, accounting, and investment operations, Brian brings deep expertise in building and managing institutional-grade platforms that meet the needs of managers, investors, and regulators. His work spans fund launches, operational design, service provider selection, budgeting and FP&A, operational due diligence, and day-to-day oversight of fund operations from launch through scale.

Prior to joining Silver Fern Financial, Brian served as Managing Director and Head of Investment Operations at MAST Capital Management, where he led full shadow accounting, treasury and collateral management, administrator oversight, and internal reporting across complex hedge fund structures. He also held senior roles at PartnersAdmin (now TMF Group), overseeing NAV production and financial reporting, and at J.P. Morgan, where he provided middle-office solutions to hedge fund clients across a wide range of asset classes and instruments.

Earlier in his career, Brian worked at IBM in accounting operations and financial analysis, building a strong foundation in GAAP, revenue recognition, and financial controls. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Washington University in St. Louis.

Brian is known for his calm, high-touch approach, operational rigor, and ability to translate complex financial and operational requirements into scalable, investor-ready solutions.
